Launch event of the Nordic Roadmap for Circular Financing

The financial institutions play a key role in society’s transition to a sustainable and circular economy. No transition will take place without capital and financing.

The Transition Group for Circular Financing was formed by Nordic Circular Hotspot and RISE Research Institute of Sweden to develop a common understanding of the perspectives, knowledge and competencies needed for financial actors to integrate and implement sustainability and circular economy as a core strategy in their business—including risk assessment and credit strategy.

The group has worked during 2023 to create a roadmap that includes a vision and goals for 2030 and a number of activities that are necessary to reach the goals. The roadmap is structured in three themes, Knowledge building, Banks’ credit processes and Investor processes, and it includes a number of circular financing success cases.

The roadmap will be launched together with some of the participating organisations.
