Bjarni Herrera

COO, CICERO Shades of Green

Bjarni Herrera is the COO of CICERO Shades of Green. Previously he was the Head of Sustainability at KPMG Iceland. He was the Co-Founder of CIRCULAR Solutions (which was acquired by KPMG Iceland). CIRCULAR was the leading sustainability consulting firm in Iceland. He holds a law degree from Iceland and an MBA from South Korea. He worked as a lawyer in the Icelandic banks for seven years, including the role as the Secretary of the Board of Directors at Arion Bank, helping manage its Corporate Governance. Later he moved to Asia, studying in South Korea and the Philippines and working in management positions and ventures in Singapore, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. In 2017 he co-founded CIRCULAR Solutions, which helped develop the first ESG  reports for listed companies, first Green Bonds, first Social Bonds, and the first Green Deposit Account, and more — helping to accelerate the transition towards sustainability in Iceland. Bjarni is one of the Managing Partners of Nordic Circular Hotspot, representing Iceland.
