Betina Simonsen

CEO, Lifestyle & Design Cluster

Betina Simonsen has been the CEO of Lifestyle & Design Cluster for the past 14 years and has a Master's Degree in international trade and marketing from both Denmark and Japan. Betina has previously worked in international management positions within lifestyle in Japan, the USA, and the UK. She has also worked as the Head of Education for Via Design. In addition to her current position in the cluster, Betina sits on various boards, advisory boards and steering groups within the lifestyle area and circular economy in both public and private collaborations. Lifestyle & Design Cluster has a major focus on digitalisation, circular economy, and entrepreneurship. The cluster has two incubator houses in Aarhus — Head Start Fashion House (HSF) — and Copenhagen — Lifestyle Lab — respectively. Lifestyle & Design Cluster, in collaboration with the Minister of the Environment and the textile industry in Denmark, has drawn up circular objectives towards 2030 for the industry, which via baseline they report on each year.
