Chair, Festa – Center for sustainability

 

Tómas has delved into sustainability over the past decade. These days, he focuses on concepts such as responsible investments, fiduciary duties, EU sustainability legislation, and the ESG methodology. He’s passionate about building a bridge between investors and sustainable companies in the real economy.

For most of Tómas’ career, he has practiced law in finance and corporate governance. Today, he is the Chair of Festa – Center for Sustainability's Chief Legal Officer at Iceland’s second-largest pension fund. At the pension fund, he’s led the development of sustainability reporting from the beginning and has been involved in various related projects. His time at Festa has also been instrumental in his work on sustainability.
